About us

We are family of seven, my husband and I and our five wonderful kids and together we are doing everything we can to find Tahanan.
So why are we looking for Tahanan? What is it? Tahanan means "Home" in Tagalog the native language of the Philippines, where my husband grew up. To us it is not just home, but a way to live and be together full time.
You see for over two years now my dear husband has had to travel out of town to support us and that means we only see him on the weekends. Now to some people this really wouldn't be a very big deal, but to us it had really been an ordeal. With five kids at home, I feel like a lonely single mom and my husband David feels even more alone. Who wouldn't only being able to get home two or three days out of seven. We want to feel like a family again, to see each other everyday. We want to be home or make home anyway we can.
What we propose to do is to buy an old school bus and convert it into a RV. An RV that we can live in and travel in to where ever David may be working. We would like to you to share this journey with us. And as we make this journey we would also like to share with you some of our dearest loves. For David it will be the art of photography and beautiful places. For me it will be homeschooling, soon to be roadschooling, and helping our kids grow up into happy healthy big people who have a better than average idea about what really matters in this life. Both of us would also like to share with you a little of our faith and what we think is important in life too.
Welcome to our search, our search for Tahanan.
